Design an antenna-less system at ICAECC India

08 2 月 2018 Events

Fractus Antennas experts will give an antenna-less short course this Saturday, February 10, at the ICAECC 2018 Bengaluru, India. The attendees of the course “Virtual Antennas: Recent Trends and Developments for Wireless Communication” will learn how to embed an antenna system into any mobile or IoT device.

The course is a hands-on experience where the attendee will have an approach to the Virtual AntennaTM technology that can replace the conventional customized antennas for a miniature, off the shelf and standardized component called antenna booster. The range of antenna booster products by Fractus Antennas is named mXTENDTM.

The course is open to RF Engineers, Electronic engineers, Antenna Engineers, researchers and Ph.D. students. Dr. Jaume Anguera will guide the attendees through the whole learning experience where attendees will be able to design on site two examples from the scratch using the technology on site and a unique and personal Microwave Office and AXIEM EM Simulator license. Fractus Antennas will provide ground plane booster samples, along with the software license, to all the participants that request them so everybody can test the antennas in their facilities after the course.

The course is admission free and IEEE participation certificates will be provided.

Date: 10 February 2018
Time: 10:30 A.M – 12:45 P.M
Venue: Kalpana Chawla Seminar Hall, C.V. Raman Block

Antenna-less short course at EUCAP London

02 2 月 2018 Events

The Fractus Antennas Team has organized an antenna-less short course where attendees will learn how to apply the Virtual AntennaTM technology in a real scenario. The 12th European Conference on Antennas and Propagation (EUCAP), this year celebrated in London, is the place chosen to give the course on April 13th2018.

Dr. Jaume Anguera, recently appointed as the new Chief Scientist of the company, and Dr. Aurora Andújar will lead the course: “Ground Plane Boosters: Antenna Design for Wireless Devices“. The short course will introduce the audience, RF Engineers, Electronic engineers, Antenna Engineers, researchers and Ph.D. students, the technology able to replace the old customized antennas for an off-the-shelf, standardized and miniature component called antenna booster.

This dynamic course is divided into two different parts. A detailed presentation of the antenna-less technology fundamentals will be the main discussion of the first part, including booster specs, matching network architectures, multiband applications, among others. The second part of the session is designed to put the theory into practice. Attendees will be able to design two examples from the scratch using the Virtual AntennaTM technology on site and a unique and personal Microwave Office and AXIEM EM Simulator license that could be used for 5 more days. Fractus Antennas will provide ground plane booster samples, along with the software license, to all the participants that request them so everybody can test the antennas in their facilities after the course.

Registration is open now.
