New reference design for global navigation systems

14 12 月 2017 News

As a market leader in antenna technology for wireless solutions, Fractus Antennas introduces a new reference design where the Virtual AntennaTM technology appears as one of the best choices for covering all the Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) frequencies, including GPS, GLONASS and BeiDou.

Using the RUN mXTENDTM antenna booster, part of the new generation of miniature and standard components, the result is a full satellite navigation performance that allows location signal usability anywhere in the world.

This new reference design document shows how the antenna component covers this full performance with more than 80% of efficiency and all kept in a really small antenna booster (12.0mm x 3.0mm x 2.4mm). It also demonstrates this whole frequency coverage by testing it into two different evaluation board sizes, so the results can be checked for devices with different volumes.
