The antenna for IoT: NB-IoT, LoRa, Zigbee or Sigfox

19 7 月 2018 News

Fractus Antennas has developed the RUN mXTEND™ chip antenna component that enables worldwide full performance and connectivity in all frequency bands of operation for the Internet of Things, including NB-IoT, Sigfox, LoRa and Zigbeeamong others both licensed and unlicensed IoT standards.

The antenna choice does not condition the frequency of operation but the client can choose the operation frequency of the antenna: One antenna, any IoT frequency band. On top of this multiband nature, the RUN mXTEND™ antenna booster is a miniature and off-the-shelf chip component that fits about all platform sizes and can be assembled in production on the PCB (Printed Circuit Board) using conventional pick-and-place machinery, saving production costs and increasing quality and reliability to the final device.

The RUN mXTEND™ belongs to a new generation of antenna products (Virtual Antenna™) focused on replacing conventional antenna solutions with miniature and off-the-shelf components where the antenna can remain the same, for example, if there is a need to upgrade a device to a new standard (e.g. 4G to 5G), even future frequencies that are not working yet.

Find in this new reference design how you can use RUN mXTEND™ as you need in your next IoT wireless project.
